Village

Castel Cellesi is a small and humble village with many sympathetic characters, including a town square with a historic Parish church.

The village also has a small local store, a bar, a post office, a doctor’s office operating three times a week and a market day once a week.

The village’s bar, which is located in the former school building, is a must visit if you want to meet the locals and experience the genuine and welcoming atmosphere of Castel Cellesi.

Visits

The village is located in the area of Tuscia, at the intersection of Northern Lazio, Umbria and Tuscany. The region is ancient Etruscan territory and is filled with interesting and historically important landmarks, such as Unesco's world heritage site Civita Di Bagnoregio, "The Dying Town". Orvieto, Viterbo and Montefiascone are the closest cities nearby, all located within a half an hour drive.

You can find several hot springs and spa resorts with services in the area, even during the winter season. The largest crater lake in Italy, Lago di Bolsena, is only a 30 minute drive away. In the region you also have golf courses and several beautiful hiking routes that start from Castel Cellesi.
